GEORGE LANG - President / DP / Director

Award-winning cinematographer/director George Lang is an entertainment industry veteran with over 30 years of broadcast television, corporate event, corporate video, advertising, and public relations experience. In addition to working for every major television network as a cinematographer/director, George has worked in advertising and public relations for both Ketchum and Foote, and Cone & Belding.

Working for ABC News in 1980, George received an Emmy Award for his coverage of the Winter Olympics at Lake Placid. George received a second Emmy Award in 1989 for his work with PBS on the documentary “Paradise Lost on Bikini Atoll." In 1994, George traveled to Rwanda to cover the civil war in Rwanda for ABC. His work on that project earned him the prestigious Peabody Award, and a third Emmy Award.

For the past 5 years, George has helped pioneer the HD 24p format using the F900 Sony Cine Alta High Definition Camera. He is known for his expertise in this cutting-edge technology and serves as an HD instructor for the Santa Fe High Definition Workshops.

In 1997, George decided to combine his vast range of industry experience with an unparalleled network of contacts to launch his own video and film production company which he aptly named, “The Big Picture.” George continues to serve as the director of photography for broadcast television and commercial shoots, and as the director and producer of corporate videos and events.
